Boys: Kitsilano vs. Charles Hays

No. 23 started things off for Kits with a nice basket off of a rebound. Charles Hays answered back with a 3-pointer from No. 2. With 3 1/2 minutes left in the first quarter, Charles Hays found themselves in foul trouble.  We saw some nice steals from Charles Hays' No. 6.  At the end of the first quarter Kits was up 23 to 18.

Early in the second quarter a nice 3-pointer from Kits' No. 21 served to keep the lead. No. 23 from Charles Hays' responded with an amazing basket to tie the game. Charles Hays then came on strong with great steals and some solid passing which energized the team and they moved ahead of Kits. Some nice blocks by Kits and a 3-pointer by their No. 8 kept them in the game. Kits continued to persevere and tied the game 38-38 at the end of the second quarter.

A long pass from No. 8 to No. 28 and Kits crept ahead. Both teams were fighting hard. Kits kept stealing and with a few great plays by their No. 28 they widen the gap. The baskets kept coming and at the end of the third quarter Kits is led 63 to 43.

Kits started the final quarter strong with back-to-back 3-pointers by No. 8 and 28. And the 3-pointers kept coming from Kits with baskets from No. 11 and No. 28. Great steals by Charles Hays' No. 13 and 10. Nice defensive work, as well, by Charles Hays' No. 11.   Charles Hays fought hard but Kits kept them at bay. Kits prevailed 80 to 62.
